PowerGuard® Ampacities 5 kV to 35 kV
Specifications
- Construction. A single conductor cable with true-triple extrusion and black PVC jacket for maximum durability. The dry-cured system consists of thermosetting semiconducting insulation and conductor shielding featuring high dielectric strength EPR insulation and flat copper tape.
- Conductor. Compact concentric stranded copper.
- Conductor shield. Extruded semiconducting thermosetting XLPE shield bonded to the insulation and free of stripping from the conductor.
- Insulation. Extruded EPR with 100% or 133% insulation level.
- Insulation shield. Extruded semiconducting thermosetting XLPE shield with precise insulation adhesion, providing a necessary balance between ease of stripping and electrical integrity.
- Metallic shield. Uncoated, flat 5 mil thick copper tape applied with at least 25% overlap.
- Outer jacket. A PVC jacket is extruded over the copper tape shield, meeting all physical regulatory requirements.
