Machine Operator - Wire Cutter

Job Overview:

Cutting and coiling electrical wire and cable


  • Operating wire cutting machinery to cut and re-spool cable for customer orders
  • Operating coiling machines to make hand coils for electrical contractors
  • Operating forklift to move material around warehouse for various customer orders
  • Label and locate material within warehouse using RF scanners
  • Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon safely and in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions and company policies
  • Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections
  • Receive incoming material in accordance with company processes, accurately identify and break down the material, note discrepancies, and make the product ready for storage
  • Store product in accordance with company processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Educational, and Physical Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2-years warehouse and forklift experience required
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials throughout the warehouse, including, but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, and lifting materials weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers’ instructions and safety instructions
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the ability to perform physical requirements, adapt to seasonal changes, significant temperature variations, and inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to abide by safety instruction and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or its equivalent is required

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment. May be some exposure to dust, heat or cold, and other seasonal changes.

Order Expeditor

Order Expeditor- Job Description

Reports to Warehouse Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage/update open order report daily and distribute to necessary personnel

· Participate in daily conference call between warehouse and sales

· Liaison between CWC/AWG sales team and warehouse personnel

· Communicate with sales in order to set expectation for customer requirements

· Verify information (quantities, part numbers, reel sizes etc.) on ALL orders/tickets before they are released to the warehouse to ensure accuracy

· Review open orders for efficiency, change sites, part numbers, dates to improve


· Work with logistics supervisor to ensure orders are being shipped in proper manner to meet customer requirements and to minimize freight costs

· Verify orders are being shipped from correct warehouse locations to maximize profit

· Enter transfer orders between sites as needed for stock replenishment

· Manage inventory levels to balance on hand quantities for current and future orders

· Create production schedule daily for cut lines to meet sales priorities and maximize production

· Create daily order priority list and communicate with shipping & logistics supervisors

to ensure hot orders are shipping on time

· Assist quality/inventory team with adjustments and location verifications

· Assist reps/sales team to verify inventory availability for quotes and orders

· Ensure to move material with RF scanner when physically moving it within the warehouse

· Comply with company attendance point system

· Continue to develop and build processes, techniques and strategies to improve workflow

· Assist during Inventory

· Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,440.00 – $43,680.00 per year
